From The Mind of a Reformed African American Protestant

Missions SPOTLIGHT: BOLIVIA

It is said that when America sneezes, the world catches a cold, and this holds true to the church as well. The church in America sets the example for the rest of the world, and as of late, such things as the prosperity gospel have blazed a trail across the globe, leaving much damage in its wake. Pastors and churches are cycling out of this trend, desiring to be taught in the historic tenets of the faith, and David has folded “shepherding shepherds” as part of his pastoral ministry. Though there is a place for diaconal mercy ministry in the mission field, David is convinced this is a secondary purpose of missions, not the primary purpose. David feels strongly about the church abroad, particularly in the less glamorous, forgotten parts of the world. Case in point: Bolivia, where David is assisting in forming a new, confessionally Reformed denomination, the Presbyterian Church in Bolivia. Located in La Paz, David travels there several times a year, and has provided five pastors with complete digital libraries of Spanish language theological resources as well as hands on, practical, pastoral training. Please pray with David that God would continue to raise up faithful pastors abroad, and if you would like to contribute, feel free to contact David.
